Originally designed as a lighter, cheaper-to-produce alternative to the MP5, the UMP was designed primarily for US military and law enforcement, who were interested in a SMG chambered in .45 ACP. The UMP has three variants denoted by their caliber – the UMP45 (.45 ACP) the UMP40 (.40 S&W) and UMP9 (9x19mm) and any UMP can be changed to a different caliber relatively easily. While it ultimately failed in HK’s attempt to replace the MP5, the UMP series of SMGs have remained popular due to their use in many movies and videogames.

  • Family Friendly Machine Gun Tours has been helping individuals and groups experience shooting unique and full auto firearms since 2005. Our team is highly experienced and practices displined firearm safety in order to provide a safe family friendly experience.
  • Educational & Exciting Each tour gun selected you will get a knowldege about the selcted firearms as well as shooting them to your heart's content. Additional ammunition is availbe at each tour in case you want a little more time behind the trigger. Our tours balance the fun of full auto, with the educational history of each gun.
  • For Groups & Individuals We often work with families looking for fun as well as birthday's, corporate/team building, bachlor/bachlorette parties and individuals alike. The packages are booked per person, with group discounts for larger parties.
  • Flexible Tour Packages We offer our machine gun tours in 3, 5 and 10 gun packages. The standard tour including the MP5, M16 and AK47, while the 5 and 10 gun pacakages come with more variety firearm selection. The 10 gun pacakage includes one belt fed machine gun in addtion to the hand held selections.
    Custom packages are availbe by request.
  • Indoor & Outdoor Ranges For our monthly machine gun events and select private tours are held at Shoot Indoors in Denver, CO. We also use our outdoor private range in Bennett, CO and lastly the Pawnee Sportsmens Center in Briggsdale, CO. Explicit details of where to meet will be provided once a booking is complete.

    "I am new to Colorado and made my first gun purchase through Machine Gun Tours. When I first walked into the store I thought it was a little “beat up” looking, but realized that they have a lot of product and just need to stock it and make it a bit more presentable. The staff was lights-out knowledgeable, and very friendly. While I was waiting for my background check to come through, I was watching them interact with other customers. In my opinion they were looking out for the customer’s best interest as opposed to overselling them on junk they didn’t need. They had intimate knowledge of the firearms they sold and made solid recommendations to me and others that either walked in or called in. They also offer concealed handgun permit training and other services that gun companies can’t offer. These guys are top notch, despite the not so spit and polish showroom.   • You Will Not Be Disappointed

    "If you are not 100% satisfied with were you are going for your arms and accessories you have to give these place a try, you will not be disappointed. I dealt mostly with John and Alan and I can’t say enough about them and MGT. First off, these guys don’t have a hint of arrogance that we all know so well that usually comes with other local shops/ranges. They both were nothing but professional, easy going, and respectful, once again NO ATTITUDE or ARROGANCE. They spent a good amount of time with me on different choices and even after the purchase made sure I was squared away for the paperwork that would follow. I’ve been buying firearms for over 25 years and have never run into a group or shop that has such down to earth respectful guys behind the counter, hell you’ll want to hang out with these guys at a BBQ. Anyway, I usually don’t take the time for these things but wanted others in the area to know these guys are the REAL deal, they run their business like it should be and like what we all once used to except.
